AVAILABILITY

We do not ride on Mondays or Tuesdays (usually). We have several guides available, so please enquire about any particular dates you are interested in.

If you suffer a major bike breakdown, we can usually provide a replacement bike. The price charged will be at our usual rate in proportion to how long you use our bike. (For usual rate see the Using Our Bikes page.

Do not pay yet! Unless you are a group of six people or more, or you specifically want to ride without any other people being added to your group (we can only guarantee this for midweek bookings). If there are less than six of you, you pay more per person. So if you wish, we will try to bring your group up to six for you to benefit for the cheapest price per person.

Trail Rides Wales provide a guided trail riding day for people with their own road legal trail bikes. It is expected that riders with their own bikes will usually be happy to ride on their own road insurance, but if required we can provide insurance. The premium is Ł30 a day or Ł36 for two days, and we need three weeks notice to arrange it - it is only applicable when you are riding in the company of one of our instructors.

Trail Rides Wales require the following:-

If you have a medical condition, please inform the ride leader.
Your bike must not be excessively noisy (see note below for more information)
You must stay on the right of way. Only the track is legal. Riding on the land beside the track is trespass and could lead to closure of the lane by Traffic Regulation Order.
Please do not "roost" your mates, as this is potentially dangerous if his eyes happen to be uncovered.
Please do not wheelie or do stoppies - they can cause damage where the lane surface is delicate, and give a bad impression to the public.
If over 18, to sign an indemnity stating that it is understood that this is a potentially dangerous activity.
If under 18, to be accompanied by a responsible adult who will sign the indemnity and our consent form. If the responsible adult is not a parent or guardian, the young person needs to send an appropriately signed consent form to be received one week before the riding day. Click here for the form.
Please inform staff if there is a change in the number or type of people if this changes subsequent to the original booking.

Note: remember that emails can somtimes go astray - if making changes, please ask for confirmation that the changes have been noted. Thank you.

Note about noise
Many of the lanes we use pass through farms and by rural dwellings, and to ensure continued use, it is important that we should not cause more than minimal disturbance. Both our areas of farm land have neighbours who have complained about noise. If your bike sounds too noisy, you will not be allowed to take part.

Lunch and petrol stops
We usually go to a cafe (please bring some money!) You are welcome to bring sandwiches. Most of our routes pass petrol stations in conjunction with the lunch time stop. If you ride a two stroke with a range of less than 50 miles, please let us know so that we can make plans for your refuelling.

Please let us know if you suffer severely from vertigo, as this affects the route.

We can book accommodation for you.
We are not connected with the hotels, guesthouses or bed and breakfast establishments used, and do not recommend any in particular above any others. Our staff are not involved in the financial arrangement made for accommodation and any bills incurred by the provision of accommodation for the client(s) are the responsibility of the client(s).

PAYMENT INFORMATION

You may be asked to pay a deposit of about 20% of the value of the client/group's riding day to confirm the booking.
The remainder must be paid either in cash on the day, by bank transfer or Paypal to arrive by the day before, or by cheque (by post) one week prior to the riding day.
Paypal, credit or debit card payment is available on our website
If you book two days riding, you will be required to pay for both days even if you decide after the first day you do not want to ride on the second day

CANCELLATION POLICY
Cancellation by the client:-

Cancellation by the client will normally result in the loss of the deposit paid.
However, we are not heartless! If exceptional circumstances exist, a refund may be made.
If the client has paid more than the deposit then the amount above the usual deposit will be refunded.

Cancellation by Trail Rides:-

Normally an alternative date will be offered.
If an alternative date is impossible to arrange, a full refund will be made.
